Every year around this time, on the estate of Goodwood in Southern U.K., an interesting fellow by the name of Lord March assembles what might easily pass for the world’s greatest attempt at a time machine outside of Colonial Williamsburg, known as The Goodwood Revival.

It’s an astounding feat combining man and machine in all of it’s former glory, put on by an incredible team that includes some of the world’s most legendary racing drivers, but it’s not what the team puts on that draws all of the attention—what truly makes it special are the thousands of spectators who descend on the grounds for three days, dressed head to toe in fine vintage attire from the last century.

Scroll through our gallery to see what we’re talking about, you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks for the photos of this event. One time in my life I’ll there seeing and feeling it myself. Goodwood Revival and L’Eroica are two events to dream of.

So here is my dream trip. I fly into London. Matthew Lange picks me up with his Daytona. We drive on over to Goodwood and have a great weekend watching the races and Matthew drops me off at the airport! What do you say Matthew? Shall I book my flight for next year?

Beautiful photos from a very special event. Claims from some that it has got too big, and become more show than motor racing I feel really take for granted how incredible it still is.
