Singer are bringing one of the test mules for the Design and Lightweighting Study (or “DLS”) Porsche 911 to the Petrolicious Drivers’ Meeting on May 12 at Bicester Heritage, UK. It’s an incredibly rare chance to get up-close and personal to the development car that led to the fabled DLS—the most highly-developed take on the classic Porsche 911 ever built. It’s this car that was driven extensively by Singer’s vehicle dynamics team, including Marino Franchitti and Chris Harris.
The mule has the 4.0-liter, four-valve, air-cooled flat-six developed with Williams Advanced Engineering, the lightweight multi-link, double wishbone front suspension developed with Williams Advanced Engineering Drive systems, the ABS, traction control and electronic stability control developed with Bosch, the Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires developed with Michelin, the carbon ceramic braking system developed with Brembo and the lightweight 18in magnesium centre-lock wheels developed with BBS Motorsport.
The test mule will be one of the star attractions at the Petrolicious Drivers’ Meeting at the renowned Bicester Heritage, in Oxfordshire, UK, on Sunday May 12. Tickets are still available here – but please book soon! They’re £12.50 per adult, or free to Petrolicious members. For more about the show see this story.
