Introduced at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show, the Lancia Fulvia was like many Italian cars of the era, available in several bodystyles that had no resemblance to each other. The Berlina was a rather dumpy-looking four-door sedan (despite stellar mechanical stats), while the Coupe was quite handsome. However, the Zagato-designed Sport was the truly special version. Produced in two series from 1965 to 1972, the Sport started off with a 1.2L four and aluminum coachwork but evolved over time with larger engines (1.3 and 1.6) and a steel body with aluminum hood and doors.
This 1972 Fulvia Sport on eBay is an “updated” 1.3 S version with several running changes that included a five-speed transmission and a rubber border on the chrome bumpers, likely done to satisfy government regulations that were ramping up around the world. Seller says the 92-horsepower “has a clean Florida title” with one owner since “it was an import from Italy.” With Lancia’s legendary narrow-angle DOHC V-4 and nifty looks, it’s an exotic bargain for those with supernatural dreams and mortal wallets.
