Beautifully, eloquently narrated! I learned to drive in my dad’s 510 in the mid-1970’s – when I was 12 years old. My uncle had a couple of 260Z’s and, for me, Datsun was THE Japanese enthusiast brand during the late 60’s and 70’s. It’s heart warming to see and hear a younger person appreciating not only the car itself, but the historical significance of Datsun’s legacy in the motoring realm. The L-series six is still one off the best sounding motors around! Enjoy, and preserve, your Z.

Congratulations for both the lovely Fairlady and the atmospheric video. Does anyone know what piece of music is played in the background at the end of the clip? It has been used some time ago (“Morning Ritual”, presenting James Chen´s Ferrari 250 GT Lusso).. .

Good work Petrolicious, nice film. I’ve got a 240z myself and I am wondering does anyone know what that color code is? Thank you

Used to be driven to school in one. 5 kids stuffed in anywhere and an American guy called Peter Syriax. Alot of fun.

Agree with all the others, this is one of the best looking films I’ve seen on Petrolicious, great shots and mood. As usual, interesting car and story, always learning something new about cars I haven’t really appreciated before (not many 240Z in Europe, I believe).

Beautiful, as always. That intake noise is divine!!! It really comes through with some nice headphones.

Lovely car! I have a 240z aswell that I want to get some new wheels for. Can you anything about your wheel size and offset as well as tire size? I really like the look of those chunky tires!

Lovely car, great video with lots of fairlady touches but that shift knob is 240z 70s stock standard (light and dark wood). The rally shift knobs on works rally 240z cars were wooden but quite longer, not unlike the end of a broomstick. I owned a works replica back in the 90s and researched them to death back in the day. That said, the other rarities on this car are fantastic such as the steel rimmed rally headlight covers, the rally seats, rally leather bound steering wheel etc.

Devil Z. Really cool setup, currently following him on insta, like how period correct and aggressive it is. That wooden shift knob is a nice touch, the watanbes are perfect. Great build.
