Italian Muscle

The griffin, a mythological creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle, is the namesake of the Iso Grifo, an automobile with the hood, grill and engine of an American, but the lines of an Italian sports car.  This Italian-American hybrid defines Italian muscle.

Great video as always. My Dad is nearing the end of a 3 year restoration of a series 1 open headlight Grifo and it should hopefully be back on the road for the Summer season in the UK. I’m really looking forward to getting behind the wheel myself and seeing what it is like.

I’m curious if the interior has excessive heat build up hence the tinting of the rear window of the car in the video?

Matthew, you certainly have some fine cars! Perhaps we can feature you in a video sometime?

I’ll find out about the reason behind the tinting and get back to you.

Cheers,
Afshin

What a great looking car and video!
Are those taillights Alfa Romeo tailights?

Good eye! Yes, those are indeed Alfa Romeo taillights used on GTVs (the stepnose and the 69 GTV), just like the ones on Ludie:
