It’s a shame the Toyota Celica is no longer in production–especially with variations like this 1992 All-Trac. It has all-wheel drive and a turbocharged, two-liter four-cylinder engine. The few aftermarket parts it has are low-key, reversible and/or can be replaced with the included original parts.

For instance, the current wheels and tires can be swapped out for the factory rollers shod in new rubber. This Celica has a front-to-back three-inch exhaust, but its owner has held on to the OEM unit and downpipe. Other modifications include an HKS Turbo Timer and a blow-off valve.

On the other hand, the paint is original. The sunroof, cruise control and power windows and locks still function, as does the air conditioning. According to the seller, it’s “ice-cold.” But who really cares when there are rallies to win!

rally pedigree but the stock road cars were overweight slugs.
pretty good handling but in the dry it couldn’t outrun the little Corolla AE82 GT.

I used to have one of these before some nimrod smashed into it while it was parked on the side of the road and wrote it off. I absolutely loved it. It’s the only car I’ve ever driven that’s given me, as James may from Top Gear would say, “the fizz”. I definitely want another one one day but they’re getting very hard to find unmodified here in New Zealand.
