We quickly found ourselves in awe of the many amazing photos that our Drive Tastefully: Barker Hangar Rally participants and their guests were capturing. Here is a selection of our nine favorite photos from the event—taken from the perspective of the entrants.
@sbokaie caught the actual VW Bus used in Little Miss Sunshine, at the rally with the caption, “Lemon lime twist, no artificial ingredients.” @baron_vonbreeze says, “Malibu Mtns Shot from Petrolocious.com Drive Tastefully Rally Yesterday,” showing us a great shot of one of our favorites on the rally, a Volvo PV544. @christhecarguy got a great shot of a stunning Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster, saying, “Made it to Barker Hanger yesterday just in time to see some of the cars that partook in the @petroliciousco #drivetastefullyrally.”
@will_allenphoto took our favorite photo of the event, adding, “Amazing who you’ll meet around the Malibu canyons on a weekend drive.” Yes, Magnus Walker was able to join us! As our writer and photographer @jonathanwcmills says, “The man can drive”. This Porsche 356 was one of the most talked-about classics during the event, and a great shot of its front end by @pynhead.
@lazybonecafe took a number of awesome photos during the rally, and this particular shot shows a bit of how relaxed and “ordinary” many of the scenes look. GoPro mount makers @mulemfg were at the rally, and captured a most understated—and exciting—participant, a Mercedes-Benz 190E 16-valve. Scenic view, an Alfa Romeo, and outfit to match…what’s not to like? Great shot by @hellomisskira.
