Silverstone Auctions will be holding their first-ever auction in the Middle East on 22 November when they’ll present a selection 46 hypercars and supercars at the inaugural Riyadh Car Show.
Silverstone Auctions Managing Director Nick Whale commented, “This is a very proud moment for us all. Being invited to host an international auction of such a high-class catalog of hypercar and supercars at this very prestigious event, is an honor.”
The massive selection of rare and exclusive vehicles is possibly the largest of its kind to ever go to auction and having to pick out just a few is a close on impossible task but we have bravely had a go anyway…
Starting things off with a bang we have a Matte-Black 2013 Gumpert Apollo Sport, one of just 13 produced. This car, with its 700hp Audi-sourced twin-turbo V8, is still a ferocious performer.
Next up is a 2017 Pagani Zonda Riviera, a one-off commission based on the Zonda F. It offers up a snarling 760hp of naturally aspirated 7.3-liter V12 power courtesy of AMG. Unique upgrades include new body panels, roof scoop, rear wing and front canards all in carbon fiber. With just 900km (562-miles) on its odometer, we hope the supercar’s new owner add a few more miles to that total.
The 2009 Lamborghini Reventon is a jet fighter for the road and this one is number 6 of the 20 produced. It has a carbon fiber body finished in a unique grey hue, fighter jet-style instrumentation and a feral 650hp 6.5-liter V12, for a top speed of 221mph.
One of the star lots has to be the British Racing Green 2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport. With its 8-liter, 16-cylinder, quad-turbo powerplant pushing out 1479hp it is, without doubt, one of the most awesome hypercars ever built. The Sport nomenclature means that this car is slightly lighter and has a more track-oriented suspension set-up than the ‘standard’ Chiron and with just 980km (612-miles) on the odometer it is still in as-new condition.
This is just a small selection of what will be on offer at the inaugural event. If you aren’t able to attend, phone bidding, commission bids and bidding online are all available.
