Today, we bring you…a fifty-year-old car with fewer than 2,000 miles? Technically, yes. According to the seller of this 1964 Buick Riviera, its 425 cubic-inch, 340-horsepower “engine and transmission were completely professionally-rebuilt less than 2000 miles ago. Every part except block, crankshaft and connecting rods is new.” A Pertronix ignition system takes the place of the factory set-up. The brakes have also been rebuilt.

This Thunderbird competitor’s dent-, ding-, and rust-free body was repainted last year and fresh rubber surrounds Buick Rallye wheels. The OEM hub caps are included with the original window sticker, owner’s manual, and Protect-O-Plate.

Technically? Why not just be upfront about the recent restoration?

Title leads one to believe it is an original car with only 2000 miles. Maybe I’m the only one who read it that way, but it comes off as a sales gimmick. I’m fine with the restoration so let the car stand on its own merits.
