News: Ferrari GTO Film Selected for Jalopnik Film Festival

Ferrari GTO Film Selected for Jalopnik Film Festival

By Petrolicious
September 25, 2014

Back in late April, we debuted the above video starring one of the last Ferrari GTOs and Mr. Derek Hill, a racing driver in his own right and son of the first American Formula One Champion, Mr. Phil Hill, who also drove the car when it was new. Before it went live, many of us in the Petrolicious office watched it more than once enjoying the sights and sounds over and over. After it went live it seems that many of you did the same thing. And upon its release we said that “using hyperbole to describe the 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO [was] unnecessary.” We love shooting great cars in scenic locations, but this GTO and the circumstances surrounding it were something special.

It seems that Jalopnik agrees as just a few days ago they announced that the film had been selected as a finalist for its Film Festival in New York City, this November. We’re honored and look forward to sharing the film with a broader audience as well as seeing other great automotive stories.

and I thought all Ferrari’s should be red. Then I saw those pictures and wrote a few lines about this 250 GT Berlinetta and now maybe a yellow one …

Fortunately I don’t to decide right now, I need to find a few millions first 🙂

My favorite Petrolicious video – you guys absolutely NAILED the sound recording/mixing on this one. It’s what keeps me coming back to this film. Congratulations on getting selected for the festival!

Words can’t describe! This is the second Ferrari mention in your videos about racing in Nassau (Bahamas Speed Week). We are going to build a racetrack for Bahamas Speed Week Revival over the next year and if you guys even want to come down to see it just hit me up!

Congratulations it is a brilliant piece of work. I suspect you made it difficult for the judges to pick just one Petrolicious video though as the likes of Dare to be different are just as good 🙂
