There are so many obvious puns waiting to be made about those of us who appreciate both a flat-12 and a cup of good coffee, but we’ll skip over all of them to save some time and face. Whether we’re waking up for an early morning jaunt with your favorite friend from garage or just trying to haul yourself into an upright position for a day at work, caffeine is part of most of our lives in at least an operational way, but in the same sense that a vintage Porsche 911 provides an experience beyond that of a used Camry, there’s a difference between a stale pot of instant coffee and what you get when you use the best ingredients.
We partnered with Drive Coffee earlier this year to begin a process of delivering unique, premium blends to our fellow enthusiasts, and we’re excited to announce that our second set (following the launch collection), is in collaboration with Porsche. As you probably know, they’re celebrating their 70th year of sports car manufacturing this year with a focus on enjoying Porsche products and moments with others. Perhaps you prefer some peace and quiet with your morning cup, but there’s a reason Cars & Coffee became the go-to format for social car shows—in other words, a can of special coffee can bring people together too.
Before creating the roasts we selected three significant pieces of Porsche’s sporting history for inspiration: the 911, the 917, and the 959. As a group they define the marque’s success in novel engineering for roads and race tracks alike, and taken individually each car deserves the volumes of books written about them. These are paradigm-shifters, ongoing legends, icons of motorsport, and though they’ve already achieved so much more, this trio was our inspiration behind the three roasts detailed below. Please note that all coffees are roasted to order, and shipped within 48 hours after the roasting process is complete.

About the Petrolicious Coffee Club:
The Club is a curated selection of premium, roast-to-order coffees in partnership with Drive Coffee, that is inspired by the stories of the cars, people, events, and places that have influenced our passion.
Working closely with the Petrolicious Team, Drive Coffee meticulously selects coffees of the highest quality from around the world, with a preference for direct trade, single origin, in season coffees. Once green coffees have been selected, each coffee is roasted according to the attributes of that coffee to maximize the flavor profile.
