Join Petrolicious and Auctions America on a one-day, spirited vintage rally in southern California. On Saturday, June 27, join our next one-day rally to explore some of the best Malibu canyons, a catered gourmet lunch, and a photo session in Santa Monica’s historic Museum of Flying.

From canyon twisties to historic aircraft, Drive Tastefully: Barker Hangar brings together the region’s best in beautiful terrain, fantastic roads, and great company.

Working closely with our title sponsor, Auctions America, participants will also receive an auction catalogue and complimentary bidder registration ($100 dollar value) to the company’s July 17 California Auction.

Don’t have a car to enter? Two lucky winners will get free entrance and and get to ride shotgun in an iconic classic car, courtesy of Auctions America. Details of this contest are to be announced soon.

Event Details

Drive Tastefully: Barker Hangar, Presented by Petrolicious and Auctions America

What’s a Petrolicious rally like? It’s a chance to hang out with like-minded enthusiasts, enjoy a spirited drive, eat well, and enjoy a few more miles in your prized car. Get a feel for our last Petrolicious Rally, to L.A’s historic—and largely forgotten—Paramount Ranch.

Participants will be treated to coffee and pastries at registration and a gourmet catered lunch in the afternoon, where you will have the opportunity to have your car photographed by Petrolicious at the historic Museum of Flying.

In addition, registered participants will receive complimentary bidder registration and admission to Auction America’s California sale, as well as a free copy of the auction catalogue. For the first time in its history, the California sale will be held at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar, one of the most attractive venues in California for everything from events to film shoots. The structure began life in 1954 as the home of Lear, and would later house the personal fleet of one Howard Hughes. To see an auction of vintage cars here will be quite special indeed!

Approximate schedule:

7:00 AM – Meet in Malibu for coffee, pastries, and registration

8:00 AM – Begin rally through the Malibu Canyons (Maps will be provided)

10:30 PM – Arrive at Paramount Ranch for rest stop

11:00 AM – Depart Paramount Ranch

12:30 PM – Arrive at the Museum of Flying for lunch and photography session

PLEASE NOTE: Registrations are subject to evaluation and acceptance. This rally is not marque specific but we do request that you enter with a vehicle that falls within the Drive Tastefully ethos. As a general guideline, pre-1975 vehicles are preferred but newer, coveted models will also be considered according to strong design and/or historical interest. The form available here allows you to apply for this event. Please be sure to provide accurate information on your vehicle.
