We love RADwood, and if you harbor any nostalgia for the automobiles of the 1980s and ’90s then you’re probably already familiar with the concept of this seriously cool car show that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The basic idea is borrowed and tweaked from the Goodwood Revival, so picture the period-correct scenes but replace the tweed and tartan with Starter jackets and jumpsuits and switch the D-Types and DBs for anything with Testarossa slats or a digital dashboard.

Rather than keep the event leashed to one place, the organizers behind RADwood have been taking their show on the road, with locations across the United States providing fresh crops of cars with each new edition instead of rounding up the same gang year after year. The notion of a car show that comes to you is compelling, and next weekend RADwood will arrive at perhaps the best venue yet: the Goodwood Estate. Perhaps it was inevitable, but the fact that an estate that embodies old money is hosting a show that encourages attendees to bring Alf dolls in Adidas tracksuits is a welcome piece of news.

RADwood will occupy the paddock and parts of the circuit on August 11th, and if you’d like to attend you can purchase general admission tickets and register to enter your car through the show’s website here. Note that Petrolicious Members get in for free, and can show their car for half price. Discount codes for Petrolicious Members will arrive in today’s Member newsletter. Basic info is below:
