Though our shop is already stocked with the work of talented people, we’re always keeping an eye out for something new in the automotive art space—the cars that we’re into at Petrolicious aren’t getting any younger, but they continue to inspire our own acts of creativity. In the case of Andrew Barber, a new addition to the Petrolicious Shop, it led to a career. A contemporary car designer by day, Barber turns to the more historic elements of motorsport for his unique print work.

Created using a layering process of repetitive images in a range of colors, he then draws in the details digitally before transferring the piece to paper, or aluminum (for each piece shown, there are three options, with the “Ultimate Edition” being printed on brushed aluminum). The cars he depicts are no doubt very familiar, but the way he’s rendered them in a psychedelic chaos of colors and tracers separates these pieces from other works depicting the same cars. The style is aggressive and full of energy, the layering adding a sense of speed and urgency to these iconic race cars. Each print is available in three versions: Premium (limited to 20 signed and numbered prints of each piece), Super Premium (only 10 examples of each, also signed and numbered), and an Ultimate Edition, which is printed on brushed aluminum and limited to just five examples of each piece. Dimensions vary, and more details about each piece can be found in the included links below. All but the 911 RSR are offered exclusively in the Petrolicious Shop.
