There will be 11 North American car debuts and anniversary celebrations at Te Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on Friday, August 16 during Monterey Car Week, California. They will include the unveiling of the Lotus Evija all-electric hypercar; the world debut of a new limited-edition car from Bugatti; the North American debut of the Aston Martin Valhalla; two North American debuts from Bentley; the latest Pagani alongside the first Pagani made; the public debut of the Type S Concept car from Acura; and the introduction of the Drako GTE four-seat EV.
There will also be three major anniversary celebrations: the 10th anniversary of Singer Vehicle Design; the 20th anniversary of Pagani; and the 100th anniversary of Bentley. The Bentley centenary will include a featured display class starring a 1929 Le Mans car, a 1926 Speed Six, a 1958 S1 Continental Coupe by Park Ward and a 2018 Continental Supersports.
“We’re honored to host these major debuts and anniversary celebrations at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering,”said Gordon McCall, director of motorsports for The Peninsula Signature Events. “We’ve been fortunate to host some historic unveilings and anniversaries in the past, and this year’s lineup ensures our 17th annual event will be the best one yet.”
The Quail will also feature two additional special classes for 2019: the 25th Anniversary of the McLaren F1; and A Tribute to the Electric Car Movement, which will include, respectively, a one-of-ten McLaren F1 GTR Longtail and an electric-powered 1965 Volkswagen Beetle by Zelectric of San Diego.
