Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has released more teaser images of the Boot, its modern-day version of the famous Steve McQueen Baja Boot, this time in 2020 (2021 model year) four-door form. The five 2019 two-door Boots (four Road versions and one road-legal Race versions) are sold out now, with several of the 20 Boots scheduled for 2020 production also sold. This new four-door is going to sell for $287,500 but SCG add that there’s an option for a Level 6 armor-plating version (capable of withstanding M-16/Kalashnikov fire) costing an extra $166,750. Well, you never know…
A neat detail is the unique seating position, with the two front seats positioned inboard to give the outboard rear seats unobstructed forward vision and loads of legroom. SCG says that this also reduces rear seat motion sickness because rear seat passengers won’t be looking at the back of the front seat headrests. The four-door is powered by the supercharged 650hp Chevrolet 6.2-liter LT4 V8, and there’s still the option to take one of the very limited number of 202 Baja 1000 race slots with the SCG team. All the 2019 slots are sold out. In New York and surrounding areas, orders are being taken through dealer Manhattan Motor Cars, in Florida and South East area they’re via Ted Johnson’s Milestone Motors and there are other dealers to be announced soon. Orders from anywhere else can be taken directly by SCG, with the same price for everyone.
