Journal: Who Is Your Favorite Car Photographer?

Who Is Your Favorite Car Photographer?

By Josh Clason
February 22, 2013

My favorite car photographer hails from the stance-related site (heaven forbid!) StanceWorks.com. Every time I see a new set of photos from Mike Burroughs, I am glued to my computer screen. The composition of his photos is always incredible, I always wonder how in the world he achieves the looks he does from post-processing. Also, I enjoy seeing high-quality photography of an automotive scene that I am not particularly involved in but respect nonetheless.

Now we’d love to hear from you. Who is your favorite car photographer?

There are lots of great car photographers around. Of the pros, David Shepherd, Paul Harmer (does a lot of the photography for Octane magazine), Gus Gregory and the aforementioned GF Williams stand out. Also mention to my mate Marty Spain for this stunning shot of a Lancia 037 setting off on the Goodwood rally stage http://www.drivecult.com/features/a-thousand-words-lancia-037-at-goodwood

I’ve always loved evo’s photography, but frequent contributor Andy Morgan stands out as the best IMO.

Mine would also be Mike Burroughs as he was initially the one to get me into the stance scene and into appreciating the classics

My favorite automotive photographer is Stephan Szantai. He seems to be able to freeze motion with his shots. Second favorite is John Jackson from NonStock Photography as I like the formats the he plays with. and who can forget Scott Killeen? I guees I am partial to photographers I work with.lol
