Mecum Auctions Is Heading To Colorado With An Impressive Offering Of Over 600 American Classics

Mecum Auctions, the world’s largest collector car company, will be back at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver this July with some of the finest American classics, hot rods, resto mods and more. Headlining the 600 strong collection will be a mint condition 1967 Shelby GT500 Fastback, one of just 118 Nightmist Blue examples built with an automatic transmission for that model year (2044 GT500s were built in 1967). It's a matching numbers car that has been in the care of one family since the 1990s. It comes fresh from a top-down concours restoration and has a blueprinted 428 cu in (7.0-liter) Police Interceptor V8 complete with Holley four-barrel carbs.







With just 24,000-miles registered on the odometer, this is a beautiful example of a true American classic. Other notable cars on offer include a 1960 Chevrolet Impala that has undergone a frame-off restoration, a 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS that has also been comprehensively restored and has covered just 10,800-miles since then, as well as a highly original 1969 Corvette Convertible finished in eye-catching yellow paintwork and equipped with a 350hp V8 and four-speed manual transmission.







Fans of older American classics may be interested in lots like the 1935 Chrysler Airstream C6 Business coupe, one of just 1975 produced.
