The Charger you see here is actually a 1968 model—many were converted to look like 1969 cars over the years—and this example was used in the 2005 feature-length Dukes of Hazzard film. It has been fitted with an Edelbrock four-barrel carb, automatic transmission, B&M ratchet shifter and rollcage. The interior is largely stripped out and it bears the scars of the rigors of filming both inside and out, the labels Pre Hero#2 and Hero Stunt#1 stuck on various body panels hint at the roles this Charger was tasked with on set.

This car will be offered in post-film condition at the upcoming RM Sotheby’s Auburn Spring Auction taking place between 29 May and 1 June. It comes with a Warner Bros Certificate of Authenticity and a California vehicle registration under Warner Bros ownership. Potential bidders wishing to recreate their favorite Dukes of Hazzard scene should note that's estimated to sell for between $80,000 and $100,000.
