Back in the early 80’s, I went to college in Michigan. One of my new found friends told me his dad was a doctor. So being a young smart ass, I said “bet he drives a white ’76 Eldorado Convertible with a red leather interior”. His jaw hit the ground and responded “how’d you know that?”. It was hilarious.
Not psychic, was just stereotyping.
Great looking car !
I love the diversity of this series. I really do.
I enjoyed the video but got distracted thinking he should be wearing a white suit and cowboy hat while driving. Also, the car needs a set of steer horns on the hood.
Grrrr .. drop the Steer Horn’s and the white suit stereotype when it comes to Caddy’s [ been watching a few too many ” As Time Goes By ” episodes perhaps ? ]
Suffice it to say all kinds from Presley to Neil Young to no small number of 1\%er Bikers drove and still do drive Caddy’s
I’ve never heard of a tv show named “As Time Goes By.” When I saw that video I was thinking of Boss Hogg.
Was not even going to watch this video.. actually was a little disappointed when i saw it was an old Eldorado. However once I pressed the play button it was a story like any other that Petrolicious makes us aware of.. The relationship of man and machine is the same if its a 25 million dollar Ferrari or in this case, the everyday mans trophy of opulence the good ole Eldorado. Nice choice to do a story on this pair. ( Owner + Automobile ).
Really, really cool!
I just found two early 70’s caddies for sale near my neighborhood (they are very very rare around here), but besides being expensive, I think I would have a lot of problema trying to manouver it in normal Portuguese roads (made for more “normal” cars).
Lots of love in this film!
Nice sountrack too!
Thanks Petrolicious!
Hey ! Them French been doin it for years …. [ driving Yank Tank Luxury cars ] … so why not you down Portugal way ?
As for the ‘ soundtrack ‘ though ? Seriously … mehhh ..
