The car: 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Price: $14,000

Location: Oakwood, Georgia, USA

Seller’s Info: Click Here

This 1985 Grand Wagoneer might be newer and more spacious than the Willys we showcased last week, but it’s every bit as much of a Jeep–with plenty of period luxury features.

Of course, it has four-wheel drive to get it out of sticky spots. A 5.9-liter V8 gets the system spinning. This 159,930-mile rig also has power windows, seats, mirrors, and steering. Additional equipment includes leather seating surfaces, cold air conditioning, an automatic transmission, and a heated power rear hatch window.

As rugged as these vehicles are, they all need new parts after a while. And quite a few of this family truckster’s components have been replaced such as its steering box, water pump, fuel filter, and brake lines. The peace of mind that knowledge provides is a luxury all its own.

If you know of a great, stylish car for sale and would like us to feature it, please let us know!

Beautiful to look at [ at least IMO ] Pleasant enough to drive . But even when fully restored and updated from the ground up a maintenance nightmare in the making . The only thing in favor of considering one being the rampant rush by the extremely well heeled to grab a classic SUV and resto mod it for daily use / image booster especially seeing as how unlike the old FJ’s , IH’s , original Land Rovers etc the JEEP Grand Wagoneer has yet to appreciate at the levels many of its contemporaries have as of today . So … possibly a daily driver collectable bargain in the making ?

FYI ; Original FJ’s have been selling upwards of $50k in decent unrestored condition here in the US and especially in Colorado [ Aspen and Telluride specifically where resto moded classic SUV’s have become the new ‘ must have ‘ ] with IH’s going between $25 and 50K .. restored original Land Rovers in excess of $60k etc .

For the record ORVIS is offering thru a restoration company they’re working with … fully ground up restored Wagoneers ….. at not an unreasonable price I might add
