Join Petrolicious On June 25th For The 4th Annual ‘Highway Earth’ Show In Beverly Hills

For people like us, for car enthusiasts—of the vintage bent or otherwise—weekends commonly consist of not sleeping in and “recharging,” but instead an alarm clock ringing well before the sun’s first probing rays of the morning come over the horizon. Whether these groggy pre-dawns are in an effort to enjoy our favorite driving roads without the impediment of traffic or our friendly local law enforcement, or are a requisite start time if we want to get a good parking spot for Cars & Coffee, the trend is clear: if we want to squeeze the most juice out of hobby on our days off, we might have to skimp on sleep.

It’s always (well, almost always) worth waking up and fumbling around in the crepuscular hours between night and day, but events are a bit more worth it than others. One such example in the Los Angeles area is the annual Highway Earth show in Franklin Canyon. Professional automotive photographer, show founder, and all around car nut Evan Klein has chosen one of the best venues for a car gathering we can think of, and the 4th edition of the automotive celebration is coming up next Sunday, June 25th. The guest list is comprised of all kinds of different makes and models, and car clubs from around the United States’ auto-mecca that is LA will be there in force; as they say, there really is something for everyone. And honestly, if your co-pilot doesn’t care for cars, the scenery by the lake is more than enough beauty on its own.

Aside from the diverse spread from Volvo to ‘Vette though, Automobile Magazine will be in attendance, as well as LA’s Auto Gallery (who’ll have the new Alfa Stelvio on display alongside a host of other modern car candy), the Petersen Museum is bringing some special kit from their collection, and of course a few of us from Petrolicious will be there as well, so if you’ve ever wanted to meet some of the people behind what we do, come find our booth and say hello! As you know, we can talk about cars all day. 

Registration for the event is almost full, but there are still a few spots left to bring your car and share it with those of a like-mindset. If you’d like to just come and spectate, there are no limitations whatsoever, and it’s free to attend. To show a car, there is a $20 ticket, but that includes a copy of the magazine that Evan produces each year, and if you’re familiar with his work, you already know it’ll be full of top quality shots. The ticket for showing your car also includes an entry into the raffle, the winner of which will receive a photo session with his or her car and Evan’s skills with a lights and lenses.
