In the motorcycle world, the transition from bike to street to office can be difficult. No one wants to go to lunch wearing a giant leather racing suit. When I rode, I had a Hit-Air airbag jacket, road rash is one thing, a broken neck is much worse.

Nothing — except flow through armour, and perhaps an evaporative vest — will both protect you [u]and[/u] look stylish at anything above 25 degrees C.

@JB : Please define “committed” … I am riding an average 600 km a month – in full leathers. Am I committed in your eyes? And I don’t see “hipster” in a shirt with kevlar and armor. I would love to try it out.

Don’t mean to be an arse about such things, but I think the committed motorbike riders don’t need such hipster-lookalike riding clothes, we already got, or will purchase proper riding attire.

I really like it. I don’t see it as hipster at all, it is quite a popular style in my area of the country.
