We did a film on Manu Campa way back in 2015, and in the background of the interview with the artist about his VW Beetle, a few of his paintings were visible. They caught our eye and many others’, and earlier this year we were happy to announce that a selection of  Manu’s prints had been made available in the Petrolicious Shop. Today we’ve added three more, and like last time, each is limited to just 50 copies (signed and numbered, as you’d expect). Because these are reproductions of Manu’s original paintings, they offer an affordable way to add some high-end hand-painted style to your blank walls. The automobiles depicted in this trio range from the high-capacity pre-war Bentley R-Type to the first iconic Porsche 911-based homologation special, the Carrera RS, to an adorable pairing of a 356 hauled on the bed of a Volkswagen T1 Type 2 pickup.

The Carrera RS is probably one of the most replicated cars in existence. Go to any classic Porsche event and you’re bound to find dozens of replicas of the company’s flared and ducktail’d super 911. The car stands as one of the ultimate automotive artifacts of the 1970s, and every 911 that’s seen success in the arena of motorsport can be traced back to this car, which was originally conceived to homologate the legendary Carrera RSR, which would go on to win almost any major sports car race you can name, from the Targa Florio to the 24 Hours of Daytona (which it snatched the trophies for in the same year, no less). Here Manu has depicted a complementary ketchup and mustard duo, artfully cropped to show the full car by way of two halves.

“State of Art” Volkswagen T1 Type 2 Pickup and Porsche 356 [CLICK HERE TO ORDER]

The T1 generation of the Type 2 Volkswagen (a not at all confusing classification system…) competes with the original Beetle for title of definitive vintage VW, but the once-humble transporters and buses and once-upon-a-time veritable workhorses have become stratospherically pricey. The setup depicted here would cost a bundle and half today, and for good reason. Can you picture a pair that can out-adorable this one?

Bentley R-Type Petersen 6½-Liter Supercharged Road Racer [CLICK HERE TO ORDER]

The Bentley R-Type Petersen 6½-Liter Supercharged Road Racer is a mouthful, and would likely be a handful to drive on the street. Based on a chassis that was born during a veritable heyday of W.O. Bentley’s developments, this car was actually put together in the 21st century—2003—by the pre-war Bentley specialist Bob Petersen. He started with a standard R-Type chassis, plonked a big straight-eight and a supercharger on the front end, and covered it with a gorgeous aeronautical body. Here we see the the most common view of this 400hp missile with the Grand Palais discernible in the reflections.
