When bad weather hits a vintage racing event, what happens? They race.

Though Silverstone Classic was held in July, we wanted to find a more interesting way of conveying the atmosphere of this unique and impressive three-day event. From an auction to many different classes of car sharing track time, it was certainly a fun weekend out.

Until the rain, that is.

Presented here is a selection of photographer Nat Twiss’ best photos from the event, split between black & white images and ones in color. With sometimes-nasty weather and brief moments of sunshine, Twiss’ artful eye has captured some of the most dramatic shots of the famed track that we’ve seen in a long time.
