The name Hans Stuck should be affixed to your frontal lobe like a mosquito on a windscreen—the legendary driver spent more than six decades collecting trophies in nearly every discipline. The talented artists at 8380 Laboratories are also fans, and have created this beautiful homage to Stuck’s time racing in the U.S. Here’s how to get it.
His stint in America, at the wheel of an Audi 90 GTO quattro race car prepared for IMSA GT competition, was near the end of his career…but, of course, he still won, to the tune of 7 races in 1989. This print immortalizes Stuck’s win at Mid-Ohio, the 720-horsepower all-wheel-drive machine making work of its more traditionally-constructed competition.
Both it and a print featuring Stuck’s time at Le Mans are available in the Petrolicious Shop. Behind the wheel of the Porsche 962C sports racing car in 1986, along with co-drivers Derek Bell and Al Holbert, Stuck helped to bring home the Stuttgart automaker’s fifth straight win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Each is hand-printed on 100lb. Mohawk Superfine Ultrawhite paper with hand-mixed TWGraphics inks, sized 18” x 24”.
