Leather has a long history of being associated with the higher-quality elements of material life. Whether that’s a sumptuously appointed interior that’s been artfully stitched together inside a sports car or a dependable wallet that wears its years well as it collects patina in your pocket, good leather is both durable and elegant, a faithful part of the objects we rely on most. Of course, the stuff itself is only one element of what it’s turned into, and the craftsmanship that turns hides into goods is equally if not more important than the raw materials.
Café Leather Supply understands this, and their commitment to both sides of the equation is evident in the end results. We’ve stocked items from them before, but we’ve recently added new items from the Spanish artisans at Café. Like their other products, these are all handcrafted in Spain.

Papúa Apron 140z and 18oz
The Papua Work Apron is handcrafted with special care using 14 or 18oz British Millerain waxed canvas and premium vegetable tanned leather. The leather has been treated and tanned with natural elements such as acacia, quebracho, or mimosa. After its long tanning process, a laborious and meticulous manufacturing process gets carried out by hand in Ubrique (Cádiz, Spain). Because of the premium vegetable tanned leather’s qualities and the durability of the British Millerain fabrics, the Papua apron is an ideal product for any type of work that needs some protection. Each piece is unique, principally because the manufacturing processes, raw materials, and final product are all handcrafted. Both sizes will be made in very limited quantities.
