Life father, like son. Meet Kurht’s dad, Ron a motorhead and a Porsche aficionado just like his son. The 912 has returned and Kurht can return to prepping the car for the rally.

No detail in the rebuild of the car is overlooked. K&H upholstery is commissioned to rebuild the seat to original specs and Richard is hired to rebuild the engine to increase performance and minimize failures.

“The first time we didn’t know what we couldn’t have known.” quips Chris, a veteran of the rally. He returns to Beijing with Derek and Kurht in June 2019 with a new strategy. The novice teams fly to England to meet the organizers.

With the car nearing completion and the Christmas holidays approaching the test run to Baja is looming ahead. Kurht, Derek and the rest of the boys finish prepping the car for a test run from Los Angeles to Todos Santos, on the tip of the Baja California.
