Hello,
I have an e28 M535i imported to the US.
It is black with original MTech kit on Lemerz wheels. Black on tan. Where are all the M535i’s??
Love this video. I own one of the 20 or so E28 M535i’s imported to the US. The car has been in the family since new, and I still drive it today. Its a wonderful car, I feel the same way that I feel lucky to own my obtainable dream car.
Great story and I do so love the E28 M5s. But… what’s really “rare” is an E12 M535. E28s? Rather easy to come by all things considered.
Congrats Ashley, you and the E28 have now been immortalized for the car world to see! My E28 M5 has been with me since I bought it in 1989, brand new and had truly been the love of my life. I could have chosen any car to be my daily driver and after many, the E28 has stayed in my garaged this whole time. Of course I have converted it to Euro specs….just the way the engineers in Munich designed it to be. I just have to be careful where I park her! Parallel parking is not an option. The… Read more »
nice car.
the sweet six sounds great.
did us models get the close ratio getrag gearbox (with dogleg first) ?
my fav e28s are the m5 and 535i – mechainically identical to the M535i minus the bodykit.
I can totally understand her feelings for this car. I felt the same when i bought my E36 which was my first car. There is something magical about these cars. I think driving a Bmw, especially a Motorsport model should be on every petrolhead’s list. The sound of that inline six combined with the crisp handling puts a smile on your face, even on your worst day. It’s pure joy. No wonder they call it “The Ultimate Driving Machine.
Love the Video! My Father had a 1988 E28 M5 growing up, it’s nice to see people out there with a passion for these cars!
I just bought an E28 M5 and I’m in love with it! It’s a 3-4 day a week car for me as a change up to my RS6. I really like the look of the euro bumpers. In fact my only 2 gripes with the M5 are the black paint and the huge bumpers. I would like to eventually trade out for a euro spec M5 but that’s down the road.
Good story! Keep them coming.I’m getting to really love Tuesdays.:)
Sweet story!
Nice job guys! I’m currently hunting for an E28 of my own and like this one, I want euro bumpers. One of the dream cars of my youth that I now must own! Great work.
go to mye28.com during your hunt for one if you haven’t already.
