Peking to Paris Episode 11: The Off-Road Test
by Kris Clewell -
A faster horse. That was the promise when the Ford Model T arrived, and for a time it was everything. It hauled families out of the mud, powered farms, and gave people freedom measured in miles instead of footsteps. More than a hundred years later, Larry Kosilla still climbs into his 1923 Model T and feels that same weight. There are no electronics, no gas pedal, no safety net. Just oil, iron, and ritual. The story of the Model T is more than nostalgia. It is the beginning, and it still demands respect today.

That’s the best car video I’ve ever seen.
As a teenager, my neighbour restored ‘T’s’, I had no idea how much fun he was having. But it always looked like what I thought a dream job would be. That was nearly 50 years ago.
I think if I ever had a list to do before I die, riding in a T would be top of the list. I wish I could drive one every day.
I do think a 356 cabriolet is a close second.
