A 1967 Trans-Am Camaro gives you the whole era at once. There's no power steering and no power assist anywhere on it, just vintage-spec Goodyears and 3,000 pounds moving around under a man who learned to read a car on dirt at 14.
This is what Trans-Am sounded like in 1972, kept alive by a guy who never let it get far from home.
