Twin Turbo. No Safety Net. The Last Widowmaker.

by Kris Clewell -

The 996 GT2 was the last turbocharged 911 Porsche built without traction control. 462 horsepower, rear-wheel drive, nothing electronic between you and the outcome. Ceramic brakes as standard before anyone else was doing it. Carbon fiber door panels from the factory. Porsche made 963 of the pre-facelift cars. Around 70 were Club Sports. They called them Widowmakers. The 996 was the last one to earn it.

Kamil Dubiel is a man who owns both a standard GT2 and one of those Club Sports. He drives them on mountain passes the way Porsche intended, which is to say hard, manually, and with full attention.
