Hello, I have a 69 LR Series IIA as well, I also noticed the VF 143 Pukin dogs emblem on the front. I was in CAG 7 On the Ike CVN 69 1989-93 in HS-5 The Helo squadron. Recall VF 143 as our fighter squadron. Were you in VF 143?

Basem–Any chance you know what the solo piano piece is that begins at 4:03? Love the music that accompanies the video and story. Keep driving!

Gorgeous job. What is that little checker plate door on the rear quarter?

I can tell when it’s a good Petrolicious film because I always want to own the particular car that’s featured!

Very interested in where the VF-143 “Pukin Dogs” plaque came from on the front driver’s side.

Pure mechanical simplicity that results in a live experience. Similar effects from my Fiat 500 ‘Bambino’ and Caterham. Very appealing!!

Spot on Mark !
Learnt to drive in a new Series 3 110 Wagon with Fairley overdrive ? and troublesome 6 cylinder petrol ( Australian spec maybe ? ). It had10 seats and probably the best car we have ever had. As I kid we would put a whole soccer team inside and off road was the best.
Top speed was maybe 62 mph regardless of roof racks and trailer !
Later we had one with 3.5 V8 and Range Rover diffs ? Finally we could race off Toyota’s at the lights ha ha Fuel consumption was even less.
These cars perhaps have the most character of any car ever made…love them
