Nobody keeps a car that was never any fun to drive. And the XK 120 was never any fun to drive. No power steering, no power brakes, a bonnet that lifted past 100 mph, and every summer run to Newport ended with Paco and his son climbing out soaked through and breathing exhaust. He kept it anyway. Ask him why and the answer comes without a pause: memories, family, and tradition.
That's the operating principle across his three acres in Westport. Paco is an artist who has kept a journal every day since 1963, and the property reads like that journal spilled out of the notebooks. He's close to 80 now and can't work a clutch anymore. The car runs a little rough too. He'll tell you the light at the end of the tunnel is what keeps him going. It keeps him driving.
