I can totally relate to this film, born in 1974, watching Magnum PI, loving cars, the 308 was the dream. I can fully understand that ownership of a car like this transcends any practical consideration. It is, pure and simple, the realisation of a dream…. the problem for me is that while I still lust after a 308, my most vivid dream took the shape of a McLaren F1….
Those early Ferraris without any electronics are super reliable if set up properly – carbs , ignition and cooling and can, if you dont rev them hard when they
re cold, be a regular daily driver (albeit a thirsty one). Simplicity is best. Good to see one being used and enjoyed and not put on a pedestal.
