I know this is an old video, but I re-watched it after the new video on his LC1 and remembered this one. I wondered if anyone knows what kind of car (red) appears in the background at 7:36? I don’t think I’ve seen a model with a grille sort of squared off along the top and more rounded in the lower half. Otherwise, it looks a bit like a Ferrari 275 GTB. Maybe Intermeccanica Italia?
John’s aproach to car collecting is unique! If you’re lucky to own them, you’ve got to enjoy them! Fantastic story!
What a wonderful collection, thanks for sharing it with us John. To think I would stand in keilder/chatsworth and everywhere in between watching the RAC Rally with those cars brings a wry smile to my face.
Glad to see you used your $26 dollars well sir…..long may it continue!!
RAW POWER!!!!
You can see this guy has Europe written all over – a Lotus Cortina, a Ford RS 2000, and of course the Group B Lancia from the mid 80’s, that probably represents one of the best times in motorsport! (at least in Europe)
And think it all started with just 24 bucks ….
Petrolicious did it again!
This gentleman gets it. I’m happy this car is getting driven and shared with the world. The worst thing that could happen to a car as special as this one is would be for it to be locked away in a garage or museum, never to be seen and heard moving.
Fantastic!
Amazing. I had no idea there were any Group B Rally cars in the US, let alone the collection this guy has. He mentions that he shows the cars. May I ask where he shows them or if his collection is ever open to the public?
Yeah, and came to America with twenty-six bucks. Group B rulz! ( But I have to admit I also got lit up by the cameo of the black 365 GTS/4…)
Killer Bees always make my knees go weak! Yes, my dream garage would have all of them, too.
Thank goodness there are people like John in the world.
I always loved the Group b Cars and i also think that These Were the best drivers and that is such a cool Collection.
My fascination and passion for Group B is insatiable. Thanks for this one, and thanks to John for sharing his cars and not being afraid to get them dirty!
What a collection! This guy seems like a cool dude, I should have him over for a drink sometime.
The diversity of this series is extraordinary.
